This day dream of a boutique regularly occupied the thoughts of Susan. She was working part-time in a gift shop, and although not an obvious career choice for someone who studied English Literature, she loved it. Her head was filled with ideas of her own and Saturday afternoons were spent wistfully discussing the idea with friends in the various cafes up and down Glasgow's Bath street, where the company would eventually be based. By and by, Valentine and French began to take shape as the website was built, products were chosen and the first orders began to come in when friends would spy items as they lay still boxed in the hall at Susan's house. The finished article is where you are now; the Valentine and French boutique full of glamourous clutch bags, irresistible body products, strokeable cashmere, dazzling jewels, delicate teas and rose-scented home accessories. For us, it's a dream come true. For you... we just hope you like it and see things you love.
Valentine and French didn't always exist.
There was a time when it was just a thought; when it was just a vague notion of a treasure trove filled with decadent products, all luxurious and covetable and there for the taking.
